Lunch'n Learn Series

Writer's picture: somervillebusinesssomervillebusiness

Somerville Business Group are proud to introduce an innovation in lunchtime learning to be held quarterly at Somerville Community House.

Normally people sit in their office, read something online and get straight back to work. The idea is to invite ALL local businesses to come along on a Thursday lunchtime to meet and network during the day.

Whilst eating the lunch you bring with you, there will be 4 x 15 minute presentations of topics that will help your business. There will be 10 minutes of presentation and 5 minutes of questions per presentation. Presenters will also be around after all the presentations are complete. Tea and coffee will also be provided.

Our first lunch will be held on Thursday 20th April, 2023, commencing at 12.30pm

CASH FLOW IS NUMBER ONE.

· 12.30pm – Meet and greet, introductions.

· 1.00pm – David Livingstone FCPA – The importance of Cash Flow.

· 1.15pm Aled Roberts – Organizing your business (if Aled is overseas Belinda Thompson will present on OH & S).

· 1.30pm Bendigo Bank – Small Business Lending – Judy Dixon (Senior Manager Business Customers Vic South), Courtney Howe (Manager Business Customers) & Fiona Parsons (Branch Manager Mt Eliza)

· 1.45pm NBN Co – Fit for purpose NBN for your business – Jessica Cotter (Executive Manager, Community & Stakeholder Engagement, Vic & Tas)

Subsequent Lunch'n Learn meetings will be held in July, October and probably February depending on the feedback from local Somerville businesses

· Occupational health and safety

· Starting a small business

· Grants for small business
